Tax Planning is Here!

This month I am taking a look at how the tax season outlook my clients and I discussed earlier this year compares to what actually happened over the last eight months. We also will be talking about their expectations for the rest of the year. Tax planning helps you plan and make changes to minimize your taxes before December 31st is here. After the year-end, you often limited to discussing retirement contributions when it comes to reducing your tax dollars.

The primary goal of preparing a basic tax plan for all my clients is to ensure they are prepared for the upcoming tax season. I also offer more complex long-term tax planning.

Okay, so how do you do this for yourself? Make note of . . . .

The more complex your taxes, the more complex your tax planning but as Marie Forleo says, ‘everything is figureoutable’. Like everything else that's hard or new, you've gotta roll up yourselves and put in the time and energy. You've got this! If you prefer working with a tax pro, schedule a call.

IRS Tax Forum

This past week, I attended the IRS Tax Forum in Orlando. I was in classes from 8am until about 4pm for three days getting a deeper understanding of many of the upcoming tax changes as well as the IRS’s plans to increase their response times and tax resolution options. I am excited to utilize many of the online business tools that should be made available in 2024. It was also so very exciting to meet in person some of the accountants I’ve worked with virtually over the last few years!

In Other News

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend celebrating Labor Day! We spent the entire weekend at the pool. I'm so excited for the cooler weather coming soon - fingers crossed cause I'm a pumpkin spice loving, sweater weather kinda lady and this 98 degree weather is far from the fall weather I love!
